Samsung Omnia W i8350 – Windows Phone 7 Mango!
I have an Android toy that reboots itself when it’s heated up and I just find it too irritating. AndĀ since I consider myself theĀ Chief Enjoyment Officer, why not spend some money on a new phone that allows me to entertain myself socially.
Everyone’s getting the iPhone 4S and talking to Siri like she completely gets what they’re saying. Whether the iPhone 4S is jailbreakable was part of my consideration when considering the new phone. Yes, the iPhone does look cool but the auto-correct was one of the factors why I decided not to get it. Finally, I looked around me, it’s indeed true that almost everyone is using an iPhone and I can just borrow one to play with it. That’s why the iPhone wasn’t my choice.
Moving on, the Android is solid, great UI but it does get laggy even with the latest machines. Just google for “Android laggy GPU” and you will see the number of people unhappy with their Android. I’m just one of those that cannot stand lag.
So I looked online and found this phone – the Samsung Omnia W i8350. Decent phone size, not as huge as the Samsung Galaxy S2, but I gotta be satisfied with the price I’m paying for it. Good processor, and so far the best mobile processor after my BlackBerry Bold 9780 and Apple iPad. As for storage, I’m pretty satisfied with 8GB since I don’t expect myself to be putting much stuff into the phone anyway! I don’t really mind the 5 megapixels camera since the number of pixels is just a figure. (Chill, I’m not going to start a megapixels discussion.) Decent talk time, blah blah. And you can read them all below. Best of all, I got it at a bargain of S$465, which is really affordable for a new phone!
Okay, give me a week, I will share with you my favourite apps and if I love the OS more than iOS and Android.
